Oooh, she must be on the orange spread, lovely effect on her eyes.
Well, she’s on a blue one, actually, but there was a lot of sunshine pouring onto the floor and the floor is yellow, hence all the colour effects with blue and yellow shades.
That’s it–you have such wonderful sunshine in your place, nice in any case, but perfect for photographing a black cat.
That’s right, the sunshine is crucial for my photos right now. Thanks god, we have it daily here 😀
I’ve just “unspammed” your comment again. If you have this problem with other blogs too, it might mean that you too, like Dianda ( http://catsnco.wordpress.com/ ) were marked as spam by wordpress system. In this case you’d need to create a new wordpress account in order to get in touch with the support team (your message to them from your usual account will end up in the spam folder as well). I hope it gets resolved soon.
Alexandra, thank you! I have another friend whose comments end up in my spam folder as well. I’ll work on it.
what a great shot!
You know, I don’t want to spoil it for you, but she was, in fact, sleepy 😀
yeah, but she was planning to have evil dreams! 😉
That’s funny :))
Okay, that is drop dead gorgeous! On my computer, the color of her eyes and the blue-black sheen of her fur are stunning. Will you make it available for us to order to frame. Please?. Email me when you know something even if its awhile from now.. You are so talented and Uskaya is “A Star”.
This is a stunning picture.
Fabulous eyes. And I really like the orange/yellow highlights in the fur too which go so well with the eyes.
“It’s 1,000,000 B.C. and you’re going to die now.”
hahaha 😀 hilarious as usual
A really fabulous shot. Makes you think when you see them up close like this, thank goodness they’re smaller versions of the ‘real thing’.
That’s an interesting thought 🙂
Is this Usyaka? Woah, she’s even more beautiful than I thought!
She really looks like a black panther in that shot.
I think this is one of your best shots (together with more picture). Beautiful!
Dianda, thanks! Yes, it’s Usyaka 🙂 It was quite a risky step for me to cut her ears off the shot, but it looks like people like it that way too 🙂
This is one of your best photos, and that’s saying quite a bit!
oh, when you say it, I feel soo proud!

Dear readers, you are amazing! I would have NEVER thought this shot was special in any way if not for you. Your comments are inspiring and helping A LOT!
The reflection in her eyes is just amazing! And your cat is so obedient. Doesn’t she ever move when you take her photo?
No, when I take such portraits she always freezes and waits for me to finish my work. She grew up with my camera constantly staring at her, so somehow she learned to cooperate 🙂
