No toys could persuade Usyaka to hold the pose.
Until it all became about treats.
When it’s about treats, she’s even more cooperative.
She looks like she’s losing her patience with you in the middle photo! ‘Well? Give them to me already!’
Oh, she was trying to be really really helpful. It was unbelievable. She was so stubborn before, absolutely out of control, just wanted to rush after her ribbon and didn’t want to hold that pose. Then I took out the treats and she instantly became like a soldier. She was afraid at actually changing the pose. At some point I told her to relax, to stand with all paws down, so that her back would get some rest. So she did, just for a second and then jumped back up with that “I’m totally ready” face. I can’t believe she’s THAT clever.
It’s that long nose that makes her look eerily human, I think. In that second picture she looks like an especially unforgiving law clerk in a Dickens novel, about to demand some document you can’t possibly provide.
I love the way your imagination works. 🙂 Yes, I also think it’s the long nose and the long face altogether which make her look very human. Besides, she has very expressive face which helps her convey her ideas to humans. I also find it weird that cats of such friendly nature were given such sinister looks. Like you said – she looks like an unforgiving clerk, while I know she’s trying her best here to look as cute and cooperative as possible 🙂
fierce concentration! was she looking right at her cookies?! or YOU?! >:-D
hehe )) You are right! She was looking at her cookies, which were in my left hand, while I was holding the camera with my right.
Could this be the beginnings of a star contract negotiation? =^..^=
Oh, I guess she’d sign that contract 🙂
The second picture is really good! I like that one!
This is my favorite too!
Amazing photographs, as always. Thanks.
